Searches continue on the river Moy for missing persons

SEARCHES HAVE BEEN ONGOING AGAIN OVER THE WEEKEND FOR A YOUNG BALLINA MAN WHO ENTERED THE RIVER MOY IN THE TOWN ON SUNDAY WEEK LAST.

THE 19-YEAR OLD MAN WAS SEEN IN THE RIVER EARLY ON SUNDAY MORNING 13TH MARCH, AND SEARCHES GOT UNDERWAY IMMEDIATELY.

OVER THE WEEKEND, THE COASTGUARD CO-ORDINATED THE SEARCH ALONG WITH LOCAL GARDAI, AND WERE ASSISTED BY DIVERS FROM SUB-AQUA CLUBS AND LOCAL RESIDENTS, BUT GARDAI HAVE REPORTED NO PROGRESS.

SEARCHES ARE ALSO ONGOING FOR TERESA LOFTUS FROM LISASCUL, CASTLEREA WHO’S BELIEVED TO HAVE ENTERED THE RIVER MOY IN THE FOXFORD AREA OVER TWO WEEKS AGO.
